Give the routine a shape children can see
Photograph your child doing each morning step, print them in order, and stick them at their eye level. Children who can see what comes next argue about it far less. Offer choices inside the routine ('red cup or blue cup?') rather than about it.
The two-minute goodbye ritual
Pick a short, repeatable sequence — bag on hook, wave at the window, two kisses, out the door — and do it identically every day. Predictability is what makes goodbyes easier, not extra time.
Frequently asked questions
What time should we leave for a 6:30am childcare drop-off?+

My child refuses to get dressed. What helps?+
Move dressing earlier, offer two acceptable choices, and let natural consequences do some work — most children dress quickly once they realise the car leaves either way.
