by greeting them in the morning when they come in, acknowledging [music] them, taking interest in their hobbies, their culture, their background, [music] and actively listening to them when they speak to you about something, whether that's talking about their feelings or their day. It makes the child feel like they're part of the room, the family, [music] and also the community as well. For example, like the children in my room, they're always asking me like, you know, [music] "Oh, why are you this color?
Why is your hair like this? " And I'll explain to them, and that way we start [music] having conversations about where they're from or where I'm from. It means that we're all [music] inclusive, and we get to celebrate different cultures and backgrounds.
